ExploreMyPC Scholarship is useful for all undergraduate students who are currently high school seniors that are graduating this year from High School to pursue an undergraduate or 2-year community college in the given study areas: Computer Science, Computer Information System, Graphic Design, Web Design, And Creative Advertising. To get selected, the applicants require to meet the qualification criteria below to get selected for the scholarship program.

$500 Off Your Tuition

Attend An Accredited 2 or 4 Year College and We’ll Send the School of Your Choice Your Scholarship Check for $500. The Scholarship Check Will Go Towards Your Tuition.

Mentorship Program

You Will Be Provided Guidance and Support From an ExploreMyPC Employee, Meeting in-person at ExploreMyPC’s office, and Participate in Monthly Video Conference Calls.

Paid Summer Internship

Get Hands-on Experience in Creating Websites at ExploreMyPC Headquarter, Along With Opportunities for Cross-functional Development by Working With Other Departments.



After Receiving Your Degree, You Will Be Provided a Full-time Opportunity to Join ExploreMyPC’s Web Developer Team Full-time as an Associate for a Minimum of 1 Year.

Scholarship Requirements

To be considered for an ExploreMyPC Website Design Scholarship, an applicant must:

Step 1

Have a High School/Junior College cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or greater.

Step 2

Show an interest and aptitude for the Computer Sciences major and for becoming a Web Developer.

Step 3

Be accepted in a College or University in the state of California, that offers a Computer Science program.

Step 4

Act in a manner reflective of the Company Culture of Hard Work, High Standards, Innovation, and Continuous Evolution, Trust in Team, and Sustainable Relationships.

Required Application Documents

In addition to the college application form to your choice of college/university, you are required to submit the following application documents to be considered for The ExploreMyPC Scholarship.

1. Personal Statement

Submit your personal statement into your ExploreMyPC Scholarship Application. Your 500-850 word personal statement should address the following prompts:

  • Describe your short- and long-term goals and how furthering your education will assist you in reaching those goals as going into the Website Design Industry.
  • Comment on the personal characteristics, educational and extracurricular activities that have helped prepare you for college.
  • Reflect on your personal journey (significant accomplishments, challenges, and/or hardships) and any life lessons that you think will help you succeed in the Website Design Industry.
  • Describe why you believe you are a good candidate for the ExploreMyPC scholarship(s) for which you are applying.

2. Financial Need Documentation (PDF)

U.S. citizens and legal U.S. residents: Upload a copy of your current school year completed FAFSA and Student Aid Report (SAR)

Note: Do not assume you won’t be eligible for federal or state financial aid. Many institutional and private scholarships require that you complete the FAFSA to be considered for these types of awards. If your household’s financial situation drastically changes, you will be able to request an appeal. By appealing a financial aid award, some students are able to secure thousands of dollars in additional grants and student loans.

3. Two (2) Letters of Recommendation (PDF)

Your two (2) letters of recommendation must be signed and dated within 3 months of submitting your ExploreMyPC Scholarship. You must obtain recommendations from both:

  • A teacher or academic advisor on school letterhead; and
  • A volunteer or work supervisor, community leader, or personal acquaintance. (Volunteer or work supervisor letters must be on the organization’s letterhead. Personal acquaintance letters cannot come from parents or relatives.)
  1. Obtain the two letters of recommendation from your recommenders and upload them yourself to your ExploreMyPC Scholarship. 

Note: It is your responsibility to ensure letters are submitted by the deadline. Letters of recommendation which were written for other scholarship or college applications can be used but must be for the current year.  

4. Unofficial or Official Transcripts of Grades (Submit only PDFs)

Upload PDF versions of your unofficial or official transcripts to the ExploreMyPC Scholarship application under the appropriate transcript field of the application.

Only mail a hard copy if your school will not issue unofficial or official transcripts directly to students. Hard copy transcripts can be mailed to the address below:

Note: Any unofficial transcripts submitted will be reviewed for inconsistencies and an official transcript may be requested by the ExploreMyPC Scholarship Committee Board at any time for confirmation. All submitted transcripts must include the student’s full name, student ID number, name of high school, all courses, and grades, and cumulative GPA.

Yes. You can attend any community college or university located in the state of California. Will be required to provide an approval letter from the school.
Yes. If you cannot obtain an official transcript from your school, you can send an unofficial transcript with your application. However, if you are selected as a finalist, you will be required to submit an official transcript.
Yes. The ExploreMyPC Scholarship is available to students throughout the United States who will be accepted into any college or university in the state of California.
Yes. Recipients of the ExploreMyPC Scholarship are automatically enrolled into ExploreMyPC’s summer internship program.
Choose a California College or University and We’ll Send the School of Your Choice Your Scholarship Check for Either $500. The Scholarship Check Will Go Towards Your Tuition Payment.
Scholarship checks are designated for the student and are mailed directly to the school’s financial aid or scholarships office, which will deposit the check and post it to the student’s account. There are no exceptions to where we send the check.
Yes, the scholarship is taxable. The reporting and taxation of scholarships are governed by the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and Treasury Regulations. The award provided by ExploreMyPC does not meet IRC requirements to be a qualified scholarship. ExploreMyPC will adjust the benefits to be reported on your Form W-2 at an increased amount from which all appropriate Federal, State, and Local taxes will be withheld and paid on your behalf. The net amount you will receive is the actual costs paid for tuition, fees, and course-related equipment. Since this income has the potential to land you in a higher tax bracket, you are responsible for making any additional payroll adjustments based on other personal income. For further information, please refer to Internal Revenue Service Publication 970, consult a tax professional, or contact your school’s financial aid office.
No, students will not need to pay back the scholarship as long as they fulfill the commitment outline on the program and complete the two-year commitment post-graduation.
We expect applicants to complete their degree within four years. If there are unforeseen circumstances that will cause you to surpass four years, we will address at that time.
